Volunteer Opportunities
Our Volunteers support all the work we do to help those in need. If you are interested in volunteering, please feel free to review the Volunteer Opportunities listed below and complete our volunteer application (Link).

 
If you have, questions about one of our volunteer programs, feel free to contact the Davis Street Family Resource Center.
 
Volunteer Opportunity Programs:

1) Volunteer in the Food Warehouse and in Clothing Department and assist in organizing our food shelves, clothing or assisting the manager with other meaningful tasks.

2) Assisting the welcome center with administrative support, which may include filing, copying, faxing and answering phones.

3) Holiday Basket Program (month of November and December): Sorting toys, shelving donated food, distributing Holiday Basket and toys, creating holiday baskets and other programmatic tasks such as bin pick-up and delivery from businesses and schools.

4) Assisting agency programs with administrative support, which may include filing, copying, and faxing.

5) EITC Tax Assistance Program (one evening a week during the months of February through April): screening and greeting clients, managing the waiting list, and tax preparation (after passing IRS exam).

6) Assisting agency with special events such as preparation for fundraising events, marketing, mailings, community outreach and other various tasks needed by the Event Coordinator.

7) RotaCare Free Acute Medical Clinic has volunteer opportunities for Licensed Medical Practitioners. We are continuously accepting applications for the following positions; Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacist and Social Workers. Our Licensed volunteers are on a rotating schedule usually working one-two evenings a month. We ask for a minimum of a one-year commitment.

8) We are also in need of non-licensed volunteers. Be a greeter, data entry clerk or filer. Due to the variety of these duties, the schedule is open to days and evenings depending on need. We ask a minimum of a one-year.
