San Leandro LINKS bus program now
stops at the SAN LEANDRO, CA - - (December 15th, 2004) - February 1, 2005 SL LINKS announced their amended route that now serves the Davis Street Resource Center. The $266,000 Low Income Flexible Transportation (LIFT) grant was awarded to the LINKS through a highly competitive process overseen by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission. The LIFT grant will not only allows the LINKS to remain free, but the hours of operation have been extended. Additionally, the LINKS collaboration with the Davis Street Family Resource Center will accommodate numerous CalWORKS recipients, and other low-income people that the Center serves. San Leandro LINKS is a free bus service that currently takes passengers from the Downtown San Leandro BART Station and loops around the West End Business District. The LINKS currently operates on weekdays from 5:45-9:45AM and 3:00-7:00PM.
