develops State of the Art Website to Help SAN LEANDRO, CA - - (December 15th, 2004) - Davis Street Family Resource Center, a regional family support agency, today announced the launch of a new website at www.DavisStreet.org. The site provides individuals and families with information and the education and support they need to improve their quality of life on a short or long term basis. www.DavisStreet.org is our commitment to provide individuals or families with information about what they are experiencing, what programs are available or how to obtain quality services and recommended opportunities. DavisStreet.org features a section of local services including food pantries, employment and training programs, legal and advocacy services, shelters, and links to health and human service providers in Alameda County. The web site also features an intern area for students. Davis Street Family Resource Center offers internships in their Mental Health and Medical Clinic area for internships where students who are interested in business experience can learn how to work within a non-profit organization. "We hope this site helps educate people with low income needs about new programs and opportunities that will improve their quality of life," commented Rose Padilla Johnson, Executive Director of Davis Street Family Resource Center.
