Davis Street
Family Resource Center offers excellent opportunities for students
who are interested in learning
how
to work within a non-profit organization. We offer internships
in our Mental Health and Medical Clinics.
Mental Health Training Program
Mental Health Services is the mental health
component of Davis Street Family Resource Center. MHS offers a
training program for graduate students pursuing Master and Doctorate
degrees within the field of psychology, social work, and counseling.
We offer traineeships, practicum opportunities, pre-doctoral internships, and
post-
doctoral internships. We are a CAPIC approved site. Our overall
emphasis is grounded in Psychodynamic theory; however we have
supervisors from diverse theoretical orientations.
MHS has three clinical tracks: on-site clinic, elementary

Medical Clinic Training Program
RotaCare Free Acute Medical Clinic offers Bachelor level students
interested in the field of Medicine the opportunity to participate
in a diverse training program. You will be exposed to the community
clinic environment working with patients from diverse cultural and
linguistic backgrounds. This internship requires the student to be
pre-med or be in a social work program, give a six month commitment,
and have availability to work one night a week either on Monday or
Tuesday from 3:30pm - 8:00pm. This internship is particularly geared
towards those students with an interest in medicine or social work.
