The
Before and After School Enrichment Program is located at Garfield
Elementary School in West San Leandro, near the Marina. The center
is licensed to care for 80 children, ages 4.9 to 12 years of age.
We pride ourselves on delivering quality enrichment activities that
includes: Homework and Book Club. Recognizing that each child is
unique, we strive to provide our services in a culturally and
linguistically sensitive manner. From our specialized staff to our
superior staff to child ratio, Garfield offers quality at below
market rate cost. The Center operates year round –based on the
schools calendar.
Our commitment to the child extends to the family and to that end,
we engage the parent(s) and caregivers, offering a variety of
supportive service, both at the center and also at our Family
Resource Center, located less than one mile away. This support
includes: food, clothing, job training/placement, mental health,
free medical care, educational/nutritional workshops and a holiday
basket program.
