1190 Davis Street Child Development Center
1190 Davis Street San Leandro, CA 94577 510-635-KIDS (5437)
Site Supervisor: Christina Cienega
License
Number:
010214436
The 1190 Site is
the original licensed childcare center, opened and operated
continuously by DSFRC since 1972. Originally licensed to care for 24
children, site development enables us to increase the licensing
capacity to 60 children, ages 24 months to first grade entry.
This center is located on our Church propriety and has a rich
history, mature landscaping and a home like environment. The warm
and welcoming site is especially attractive and fosters healthy
development for all children.
Our commitment to the child extends to the family and to that end,
we engage the parent(s) and caregivers, offering a variety of
supportive service, both at the center and also at our Family
Resource Center, located less than one mile away. This support
includes: food, clothing, job training/placement, mental health,
free medical care, educational/nutritional workshops and a holiday
basket program.
We serve a nutritional hot breakfast and lunch daily in addition to
two snacks. Staff is trained to deliver the high scope curriculum in
a culturally and linguistically manner. We offer subsidized and
non-subsidized slots-year round.
