Davis Street Family Resource Center: Community Counseling is the Mental Health program of Davis Street Family Resource Center. DSFRC-CC has been serving San Leandro and the surrounding communities for over 30 years.

Community Counseling has bi-lingual licensed Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Social Workers providing our therapeutic services as well as interns/trainees. MHS offers mental health services to children ages 2.9 to 18 and adults. Our services are provided on site at our Teagarden clinic, in San Leandro and San Lorenzo schools as well as at our four childcare centers.  

We offer:

  • Individual therapy

  • Family therapy

  • Couples therapy

  • Psychological Assessments

  • Drug and Alcohol use Prevention Services

  • Spanish Speaking Crisis Counseling

  • Anti-Violence Prevention programs for at-risk youth

In addition to our direct mental health services we offer:

  • Mental Health Consultation to child care centers

  • Staff Consultation for schools in the San Leandro and San Lorenzo
       school districts

MHS has an expansive training program for graduate students. We offer 16-40 hr training opportunities and are a CAPIC approved site. For more information, please contact Theresa McGill ext. 160
