and Core Values
Mission:
The Mission of
the Davis Street Family Resource Center (DSFRC) is to help people
with low income of the Eden area and its surrounding communities
improve their quality of life through short and long-term
assistance.
Vision:
We envision a
community that comes together to support our efforts to help
disenfranchised people with services designed to help improve their
quality of life.
Core Values:
In providing services to our community, DSFRC is committed to be
mindful of our respect for one another, our regard for the
reputation of Davis Street Family Resource Center. It is expected
all Davis Street Family Resource Center staff will embrace these
core values:.
Heart
and Quality:
Knowing that culturally competent treatment with dignity can be a
turning point in clients’ lives, the hallmark of DSFRC service is
the compassion and respect that clients receive.
Comprehensive
Family Services:
DSFRC offers a holistic safety net, providing an array of integrated
services that help clients navigate their journey to financial,
physical and mental well-being.
Appreciate and Value Difference:
In
serving all member of our community, DSFRC is committed to being
responsive to, and respectful of, the various cultural and
linguistic needs of our clients, staff and volunteers.
Quality not Quantity:
In an age where numbers often measures success, DSFRC has
strengthened its commitment to serve each client well, even if it
means serving fewer people. DSFRC is committed to continuously
meeting the changing needs of clients by fine-tuning and improving
the delivery of services.
We will conduct personal and professional
relationships with awareness that, by agreeing to participate in the
fulfillment of the organization’s mission, we assume responsibility
for the honor of the Davis Street Family Resource Center community
both internally and in the external world.
Accessibility:
DSFRC services were created to be “user-friendly” in terms of
geography, hours of operation, language and culturally
accessibility.
Community
Ownership:
As an active
member of our community, DSFRC encourages all member of the
community to participate in its programs. Recognize that within the
organization each person takes part in a social contract that
assumes the fair, responsive, straightforward, and courteous
communication and behavior that persons of good will and mutual
trust may expect from one another. We will accomplish the above as
we encourage our clients to become responsible citizens who will
affect positive change in their own communities and work
environments.
Valuing Staff:
In order to achieve the DSFRC Mission and implement its programs
effectively, it is imperative that staff is treated with the same
care, respect and inclusion as the clients. Each staff member has
the responsibility and accountability to respond to clients needs.
Valuing Clients:
The clients we serve determine what success is to them. We feel a
sense of urgency on matters related to the clients we serve. We
strive to be responsive. We are client driven. |
